* Hand out tires……Super Tires
..
The following rule has been changed…2/12/2012
* Wheels allowed are the SCX standard plastic wheel or the SCX Pro wheels.*Any SCX Pro*rear*wheel is allowed.*As long as the M9 tire will fit. This may change if needed. we will be using SUPER TIRE SILICONE Tires
.* Wheels allowed are the SCX standard plastic wheel or the SCX Pro NASCAR wheels all cars must use SCX NASCAR style rubber tires. These have a raised “052″ and “SCX” on the back side.
* SCX stock plastic crown gears or SCX Pro crown gears only allowed.
* Racing will be without traction magnet(s).
* All cars will be opened up for a pre-race inspection which will be conducted by race officials. Cars that fail tech inspection may be worked on by the car owner during the tech inspection to make the car legal for racing. If a racer fails to pass tech inspection their entry fee will be refunded or borrow a car from someone.
* All tools needed for racers to work on their cars should be provided by those racers themselves.*
* Weight may be added, weight minimum is 97 grams. ALL weight must be fully contained inside the body or magnet holder. Weight must be glued or self-adhesive used to prevent it from coming loose. Weight may NOT be glued/taped in whole or in part under the chassis. Weight must be some type of metal, modeling clay or similar substance is not allowed.
* SCX Pro Race parts can be used.
* Interior tray from the standard car may be used. Vacuum formed interior from the Pro Nascar may be used in any car (not just in Pro car).

* Body may not be sanded or otherwise altered to reduce weight.
* All cars will use the 4H Pro Motor…..No modifications to the motors are allowed – racers doing so will be disqualified from the event and forfeit their entry fee. This includes, but is not limited to the use of ANY type of “comm juice” used specifically on the brushes.*So no VooDoo Juice or similar substance is allowed to be used on the motor at all.*Oil or lubricant is allowed on the bearings of the motor. Before the race.
* No*braid**juice allowed.

* Axle and bushing mounts may not be altered in any way.
* Ball bearings are not allowed.
* Electronics, noise suppressor on the motor/chassis may be removed or may be intact.
* Tire choice for local qualifying races is to be determined by the hosting club/track/store. 1 (one) tire compound must be used for the race, the use of multiple type of tire compounds (during any 1 race day event) is discouraged. Race hosts should decide on 1 compound of tire that best suits their track.
* No chemical treatment (ie., oil soaking or applying finger nail polish to harden surface of tires) is permitted on tires. Racers doing so will be disqualified from the event and forfeit their entry fee.
* Tires may not project beyond body when car is at rest on level track, viewed from directly above.
* Only SCX “Type 052″ tires are allowed on the front.*
* Front tires may be sanded for truing but the full lettering/numbering (which is molded into the stock tire) must be visible on the inside sidewall of the tire. You may not sand into the lettering/numbers (molded letters/numbers-not referring to Tampo printing) on the sidewall. Tampo printing need not be present on sidewall of tire. Applying nail polish or other substances to harden the tire surface is not allowed.
* Gluing of motor pod is allowed. Tape may be applied to the chassis to limit motor pod travel. Light sanding may be done around motor pod to allow pod travel. A Pro SCX motor pod may not be cut into a non-Pro car. A car that came with a two-post pod must retain a two-post pod. A car that came with a 4 post pod must retain a 4 post pod configuration.
* Chassis modifications are allowed for clearance of SCX Pro parts used. Cars may not be lightened by cutting/sanding the chassis or the interior, any modifications done must be for clearance (crown gear clearance or wheel hub clearance) issues only. Enforcement of this rule will be at the discretion of race officials (for both regional qualifying races and for final race). Chassis may be clearanced slightly to allow body to float.
* Body mounting posts (the two posts in the front of the body and the single post in the rear of the body) may not be cut, shortened or otherwise modified in any way.
* Side body posts and axle retaining posts may be removed.
Grille “insert” may be cut away/removed from chassis.
* Wires may be soldered in car to conduct power. Any brand of wires is allowed. If a racer is going to solder in wires that racer is responsible to bring a soldering iron to accomplish this.
* Guide flag may be collared or glued to limit sideways play. Manner of collaring or glueing the guide is up to the racer. Non-SCX parts may be used to do this as long as the stock guide is retained. A Pro guide may not be cut into the Non-Pro chassis.
* Any brand of*braid**is allowed.
* * Only marshals will be allowed to adjust the braids during race. They will call out to a race marshal who will adjust braids or remount tire that might have slipped.

Guidelines for car preparation:
* Cars must have full windows and SCX interior try (ie, not scratch-built). The wing must be there at the start of the race, racers will not be penalized if the wing breaks off during competition. Slight modification for crown gear clearance will be allowed. Whether “too much” has been removed will be up to the race host to decide. It is strongly encouraged that a conservative approach should be taken by builders when considering doing any interior tray modifications. No modifications are allowed to the body (including but not limited to, cutting, sanding, fender flaring) ride height may not be altered in any way.
* All Race, will use their own RX-42B.
* 9 tooth pinion that comes standard on RX42B will be used as the standard pinion for the race.
* Tire choice for local qualifying races is to be determined by the hosting club/track/store. 1 tire compound must be used for the race, the use of multiple type of tire compounds (during any 1 race day event) is discouraged. Race hosts should decide on 1 compound of tire that best suits their track.
* Indy Grip Silicone Tires
for our Regional race will be as follows:
- For the standard FXX wheels, the tire part number is 4008.
- For the SCX Pro wheels (which are legal for use if you decide to swap out the standard FXX wheel) the tire part number is 4009.
- In addition, Indy Grip Silicione tire part # 2086 will be allowed.
Tires will be handout tires for the final race and the cost of the tires will be included in Championship entry fee.
* Lights may either be functional or non functional but components for lights must remain intact inside car. The tabs that deliver power to the lights may, however, be removed if the builder decides to do so. The only part of the light system that may be removed is the 2 vertical tabs that bring power from the chassis to the horizontal strips inside the body. Those tabs may either be removed entirely or bent back so they don’t touch the chassis.
* No liquids can be applied to any part of the car other than oil/grease to motor, gears, bushings, axles. This has to be done before tech begins. NO LUBING CARS DURING THE RACE.
* No chemical treatment (ie., oil soaking or applying finger nail polish to harden surface of tires) is permitted on tires.
* Chassis modifications are allowed for clearance of SCX Pro parts used. Cars may not be lightened by cutting the chassis or the interior, any modifications done must be for clearance (crown gear clearance or wheel hub clearance) issues only. Enforcement of this rule will be at the discretion of race officials (for both regional qualifying races and for final race). Chassis may be clearanced slightly to allow body to float.
* Wheels/tires cannot protrude outside the body more than 1mm.
* SCX Pro Race parts can be used.
* weight may be added, weight minimum is 85 grams, maximum weight is 105 grams. ALL weight must be fully contained inside the body or magnet holder. Weight may NOT be glued/taped in whole or in part under the chassis.
* Racing will be magnetless.

* Guide flag may be collared or glued to limit sideways play.
* Braids are allowed to be rewoven. Any brand of braid
is allowed.
* Voltage for race will be 12.5v.
* Racers will be allowed to install their own motor/tires in front of marshal.
* Only marshals will be allowed to adjust the braids during race. They will call out to a race marshal who will adjust braids or remount tire that might have slipped.
* SCX Stock front wheels, 16mm rally wheels, 17mm wheels allowed for use on front of cars.
* Front tires are allowed to be sanded provided that tires are not smaller than 16.5mm. Only SCX tires may be used on the front.
